For active people like me New Zealand has a lot of outdoor activities. What really stands out for me are the hiking options and the kayaking that people do there. I would likely be awestruck looking at the mountains while I kayaked and looking at the water while I hiked. Has anyone been to New Zealand?

I have never been to New Zealand, but I really enjoy hiking and have always wanted to try out kayaking. Thanks for this great post, and one day if I get to go to New Zealand, I am sure I would really enjoy it.

Yes indeed specially if you like to go in water. By they way which part of Auckland you're living. I'm living in Onehunga and we have famous One Tree hill here. You can visit it.

My sister is living in New Zealand and she tells me to come over and work there, but i never consider going over there to work but maybe to visit for a vacation. She always tells me how beautiful the sceneries in New Zealand and i should really be there. Well i am planning in a year or two to visit.

Yes indeed it's just about 5 mins if I come from Mt. Albert Road. Hope we will meet one day.

@surfville

Yes you should come here once, I am sure you'll never disappointed. New Zealand have some of very clean beaches and rain forest and we protect them as it's part of culture.
