I've just read about these lakes that can be found all over west Australia. I would really like to visit some of them. I;'ve seen some amazing photos from Lake Hillier.

I have never seen pink lakes, nor have I heard of them. They sound quite interesting. Do you happen to know what causes their pink coloration? Is there any fishing on these pink lakes?

Probably it`s related to the algae on its bottom. In my country, the nearby sea is called Black Sea, but in fact its water is deeply blue, due to the algae living in it
Probably the fish too adopted a pinkish tone, to create camouflage

Yes I would have to say that it is from the algae. I remember the other day a TV show said something about pink snow and it was due to an algae in the snow. I would love to see one of these lakes. How bright of a pink are they?

I wonder if it means the water is unhealthy in some way if it is pink. I am just curious about that. thought I think they would look pretty being pink. That is something that I have never seen. I will have to search for some pictures.

Could be with the algae that is turning the water pink. I would not think that algae would be very healthy, but then again I do not know that much about algae either.

I looked at some pictures and WOW! Too cool! Also, "Many countries from around the world have pink lakes, including Senegal, Canada, Spain, Australia and Azerbaijan" not sure if anyone knew that.
